provide quality services to our students
in a timely manner, the Student
Financial Services is pleased to
announce the opening of a Resource
Center in C-109.Students may walk-in or schedule an
appointment by calling 718-482-7218
to complete their FAFSA and TAP on the
web. Staff will be
available to answer your questions.
The Student Financial Services provides you
assistance with FAFSA and TAP online applications, along
with additional information, financial
aid counseling, and assistance in
completing your forms. The office
conducts regular daily workshops to
help you with your financial aid
applications and operates a web lab to
allow you to file your FAFSA and TAP on
the web.

FAFSA on the web is immediate. In
contrast, the response to a paper
application takes 6-8 weeks. When you
file your FAFSA on the Web, you will be
able to apply for TAP on the Web as
well. Have the following documents when
filing on-line:
- Your (and your parent's if
required) 2008 federal and state tax
returns, W2s and other financial records.
- 2008 Statement of Child Support
received/paid.
- 2008 Combat pay or special
combat pay (military)
- Housing, food and living
allowances paid to members of the
military, clergy and others
(including cash payments).
- Veterans non-educational
benefits.
- Any untaxed income (Disability,
Death Pension & Foreign Income)
- Current Bank Statements (Student
& Parent)
- Records of other investments
- Dependent student(s) should have
their parent(s)' Social Security
number(s) and Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Date parent(s) were
married/separated/divorced and/or
disabled (mm/yyyy)
- While on the FAFSA Confirmation
Page, click on the link for New York
State residents located just above "Your
estimated Expected Family Contribution
(EFC) is:" on the FAFSA
confirmation screen to call up TAP on
the Web.
Students with a FAFSA PIN will have the
opportunity to:
- Check the status of financial aid
applications (federal and state);
- Check on loan account information;
- Complete Pre-Loan Entrance
Counseling for Direct Loans;
- Complete Pre-Loan Entrance & Exit
Counseling for Perkins Loans;
- Access Selective Service
Registration Record inquiries;
- Access Financial Aid history
(transcript) via the National Student
Loan Database System (NSLDS); and
- Access Veterans Administration
Information.

DIRECT DEPOSIT NOW AVAILABLE
THROUGH ANY BANK
Direct Deposit of your financial aid,
federal work study and loan checks into your bank account can be
arranged by completing and submitting
the Student Financial Assistance, Direct
Deposit Request/Authorization Form to
the Bursar. The Request Form is
available at the Bursar's window MB-55.
