Book
Advance Program
The Book
Voucher is now the Book Advance Program
Fall
Session I 2009 has ended
Beginning Fall 2009, all Pell eligible students who submitted their
financial aid documentation by June 30th, 2009 may be eligible for a
Book Advance check provided there is a balance on record after the deduction
of tuition and fees. This will allow you to purchase books at any bookstore
you choose. A check will be generated and mailed to you (address on FAFSA)
or directly deposited into your account (if you signed up for direct
deposit). The disbursement schedule is as follows:
September 10th for eligible
students with records processed by June 30, 2009
and
September 16th for eligible students with
records processed by August 1, 2009.
Students can spend a
maximum of $400.00 in a semester (Sessions I & II) to purchase
needed books and supplies.
Book advance purchases must consist only of
course-related items. This excludes clothing,
jewelry, fancy pens, gift items, tobacco,
snacks, greeting cards, prerecorded tapes, and
records/CDs. You may purchase bags costing up to
$40.00. The books you purchase must include only
those books that you -NOT your friend- need for
the current term. Your responsibility consists
of knowing what books you need for your own
classes. We recommend that you go to all your
classes before you purchase your books.
