 ABOUT
The LaGuardia Community College Office of Institutional
Research and Assessment (LaGCC—OIRA) provides the College with descriptive
information, supports the College’s efforts in continuous improvement and
produces original research on topics related to community college issues.
LaGCC—OIRA responds to information requests from outside agencies, prepares
the annual Institutional Profile, and supports the College in its efforts to
improve instructional techniques, retention, transfer readiness and other
important college processes.
LaGCC—OIRA supports faculty and
staff in their research efforts and fosters the College’s culture of
assessment.
LaGCC—OIRA acts as a center for community college research, investigating
community college student learning, retention, and institutional financial
issues.
